My husband’s family loves surprises. When his mom hinted of a trip earlier this year, I suspected that one or more of his sisters would also pay a visit. Sure enough, his sister who lives in France called to say that she and her husband were on their way. Then we learned his other sister was coming with their mom from Colombia. Before we had time to blink, we had a family reunion at our house. My husband and I are very laid back, so the surprise was well taken. Who could complain of a house full of love and laughter from family we seldom have time with? The best of all is seeing the girls bond with La Abuelita and Los Tios y Tias. Muy especial!
