I wonder if I lived out in the sticks in Colorado, and had all of my time at home with my kids, if I would notice as many cool little creatures as I do living in rural Costa Rica. There seems no end to the colors, shapes and textures of the amazing insects we find here.

Woah, that's so much bigger than the one I saw. We actually had a Praying Mantis show up at work! Coolest bug ever, we carefully collected it from inside the workshop and carried him/her out to some bushes. Usually bugs give me the willies, but these guys are so alien they're just fascinating. I'd never seen one in Colorado before, amazing what you see when you take the time to look.
