Ox Carts

The Costa Rica that I like to think of as the "REAL" Costa Rica is fading fast. It is the place where scenes like this are common, not for the tourists, but as a working way of life. Luckily, this hearty team passes by our house a few times a month. There is nothing quite like the sound of the wheels of an ox cart passing nearby. I can't imagine that it will last forever, but for as long as we have this in the neighborhood, I will be content.

Hey Alison, your blog is amazing. I appreciate how "real" you keep the view of Costa Rica. Very honest and you appreciate the small things. I love how natural scenery is and the people. I married a tico and can imagine my life any different. O and the dancing about the phone line... Ahh I totally understand.
