You haven’t danced until you’ve danced over a telephone line and the Internet that comes with it. A couple of weeks ago we finally received our land line. As frustrated as we had been with the telephone company, ICE, we wanted to hug the guys who installed the simple wire that reconnected us with the world. Since, we have observed others doing the telephone dance. It is a dance danced with great joy.
At times we think that life should not include such a trivial dance. Like many other expats, it is too easy to recall the efficiency and ease of life up North. However, we when we see our girls experiencing a totally innocent childhood filled with wide open spaces, horses, chickens and postcard sunsets, we think that it’s a fair trade. For now at least.
